For me, there are tricks that involve mental gymnastics, and then there are those that involve sleight of hand. I’m pretty good with the former, not so hot with the latter.

Twelve coins was recently a plot point on an episode of BROOKLYN NINE NINE, when the Captain offered a job or something to two people, based on who could solve the puzzle first. They figured out that he merely wanted the solution so he could impress HIS boss but couldn’t figure it out.
