I hope that doctor is right. Then again, I’ve seen a few people in recent years who developed cancers (mostly leukemias/lymphomas) who wound up getting better after treatment when I didn’t think they’d get better – so he may be right. (All kinds of interesting semi-experimental things being done to fight the blood cancers).
But I also have to say, the “Mechanical Shaft” bit made me LOL.
I of course clicked over to that list of the Five Best Soul Albums, and of the four I’ve heard, I think at least two, maybe three, are justified: Otis Blue is essential to any collection, and I still don’t understand why O. V. Wright never became a major star.
